Optical Performance

This DJI Matrice drone is equipped with two powerful sensors that together provide the quality and performance for professional application. A wide 1/2” CMOS 12 MP sensor that offers an equivalent focal length of a 24mm lens is paired with a 1/2” CMOS 48 MP zoom that offers a 5-16x optical zoom. When combined, these two optics work together to realise a 200x digital zoom that allows you to see fine details up to 20m away.

Both optics can provide 4K footage at 30fps, with the zoom lens allowing for super-crisp and clear 8K image capture. These lenses are accompanied by a hugely-useful and highly-accurate 1200 laser rangefinder detection range that will be an invaluable tool for industry professionals. Equally, this drone features a next-generation imaging algorithm that will automatically adjust based on the current lighting conditions, making it suitable for low-light/shadowed shooting conditions.

Enhanced Operation

This drone series sees both operational enhancements for improved connectivity and overall flight performance. When compared to previous drones, this drone is equipped with two additional antennas on the bottom of the aircraft. The result is this is two transmitters and four receivers on the aircraft are supported by DJI’s OcuSync 3 Enterprise transmission technology and an improved anti-interference algorithm, affording a 15km transmission range. You also benefit from a 2x media download speed and a 1080p FPV resolution feed to your control too.

Adding to the enhanced operation and reliability of the drone, this series features advanced built-in redundancy systems and backup systems. These include dual IMUs, Barometers, RTK Antennas+ GNSS modules and compasses - all of which are incorporated to ensure a safe flight during unexpected flight scenarios.

DJI Pilot 2

DJI’s Pilot 2 is a redeveloped Enterprise flight interface that ensures improved flight efficiency and safety. The User Interface sees a clearer and more accessible presentation of your flight details and navigational data. Working seamlessly with the RC Plus, this software provides a comprehensive preflight checklist to get you ready. It sits screen-side with customisable buttons to ensure quick, industry-specific operations, such as camera adjustments or changing settings. And, the optimised navigational interface displays your launch site, Pinpoints and obstacles to ensure situational awareness, and Alert Notifications provide timely updates on changing flight conditions.

DJI FlightHub 2

FlightHub 2 is designed with the express goal to help you master your environment, overcome communication barriers, plan and execute precise flight routes, and unify your task force. This is an all-in-one cloud-based drone operation management platform that provides comprehensive real-time situation awareness.

The software provides a range of tools to better your flight such as integrating elevation data with the 2.5D base map. You have other tools such as One-Tap Panorama Sync and Cloud Mapping. Using streamlined team communication, you can make use of live mission streaming and annotations that can be viewed by ground teams, pilots, or any team member for timely project alignment and task distribution.

Intelligent Design

The Matrice series offers some of the most advanced and intelligent drone designs on the market. The Matrice 30 and Matrice 30T are compact, lightweight and highly portable. With built-in landing gear and an IP55 rated shell, this drone is ready for the elements, not to mention its -20°C to 50°C operating range to cover any shooting environment - it even features a self-heating function to help remove fog from the lenses.

Inside, the intelligent battery offers a 41 minute maximum flight time. This is accompanied by a suite of advanced flight assistants to help are designed to help you make the most of every drone flight. These include Obstacle Avoidance functions such as Dual Vision and Infrared ToF sensors on all 6 sides of the aircraft. It offers customisable brake distance control and anti-collision beacons.

Several safety features are implemented to provide more confidence with in-flight such as tree-prop emergency landing, DJI’s AirSense (ADS-B in), a hot-swappable dual battery lock and arm lock detection. This is all backed up by a tangible health management system that allows you to see the status of your drone and assess whether a flight is practical and/or doable.

DJI RC Plus

A huge contributor to the elevated efficacy of this drone is the DJI RC Plus. This control is built for commercial drone pilots and is equipped with a bright 1200 cd/m2, 7-inch, glove-friendly screen. Its IP54 rating makes it water/dustproof and can operate in temperatures from -20°C to 50°C. Inside, it has an 8-core chip, 3x CPU and 7x GPU (compared to the Smart Controller Enterprise).

It has Dual RC compatibility, 6-hour battery life and a 4-antenna design that further enhances its transmission capacity. The control layout and operation are optimised to help get the best use from the drone in any flight setting. Finally, the RC Plus offers the option for a DJI Cellular Module (sold separately) that can provide 4G support to supplement OcuSync 3 Enterprise.

What's the difference between the Matrice 30 and the Matrice 30T?

The Matrice 30 series includes the M30 and the M30T. The drones are essentially identical apart from the M30T includes a fourth sensor - a thermal imaging camera that is hugely beneficial to a variety of observations.

How long with the battery last?

The TB30 Intelligent Flight Battery is an advanced battery that is optimised to provide a max 41 minute maximum flight time. The battery also supports self-heating for cold environments, hot-swapping for fast turnarounds, and 400 charges cycles for increased operational efficiency.

How long does it take to charge the battery?

Using the BS30 Intelligent Battery Station, you can charge 4 pairs of TB30 Intelligent Flight Batteries and one pair of RC Plus batteries. Each pair is charged one at a time, with one pair taking just 30 minutes to charge from 20-90%.

Can the gimbal and camera be replaced with other payloads?

The gimbal and camera system are fixed and cannot be replaced.

Is the RC Plus compatible with any other models?

The DJI RC plus is currently only compatible with M30 Series.
