The relatively small and lightweight DZOFilm Vespid Prime Macro 90mm T2.8 PL-mount lens is part of the Vespid series and is very suitable for independent and high-quality full-frame cinematography. The lens's front diameter is 80mm, which allows it to be used with almost any cinema-style matte box. The small size makes this lens an attractive option when working with drones and gimbals and shooting handheld or run-and-gun. The interchangeable PL mount allows you to use this fully manual lens on a variety of modern and vintage cine cameras. The included PL to Canon EF mount adapter allows you to equip the DZOFilm Vespid with both a PL and a Canon EF mount.

Macro focus lens

This macro focus lens has a minimum focusing distance of 26 centimetres, allowing you to reproduce a sharp image with a 1:1 object-to-image ratio on the sensor. This prime lens has an image circle of 46.5 millimeters, covering full-frame sensors without any vignetting. Mounted on a camera with a Super35 sensor, it will give you a tighter shot than when mounted on a camera with a full-frame sensor.

Natural looking bokeh

The 16-blade diaphragm, which is consistent across the Vespid Prime lens lineup, creates rounded out-of-focus highlights that appear more natural and contribute to the lens’s natural-looking bokeh. The focus ring has a 300-degree rotation for precise focus pulls, and the aperture ring has a 68-degree rotation.

Focus and aperture tooth rings

The DZOFilm Vespid Prime Macro 90mm T2.1 features cine-style toothed rings on the focus and aperture rings for compatibility with cine-style lens accessories such as follow focus units, lens motors and lens control systems.

Removable ND filter on the back

The lens has a magnetically attached rear filter that accepts optional ND filters that help you control exposure without affecting aperture settings or changing depth of field. The front of the lens has a 77mm filter thread, allowing you to use optional filters directly on the lens, which is useful if you need filtration when filming without a matte box.

Coated optics

The coated optics provide natural-looking contrast and help control flares and specular highlights, preventing flares from overwhelming your image.
