The Leica M11-D Digital Camera Body implements triple-resolution technology, allowing photographers to choose between 60MP, 36MP, and 18MP image resolutions using the same full-frame BSI CMOS sensor. This innovative feature allows for optimised performance by adjusting the resolution based on your shooting needs, whether managing file sizes, increasing burst shooting speed, or enhancing image quality. Lower resolution settings reduce noise and improve low-light performance, providing versatility without compromising on the high standards expected from a Leica camera.

Incorporate the Rangefinder Into Your Set-Up

The Leica M11-D continues the tradition of the classic rangefinder, offering a large, bright-line rangefinder with automatic parallax compensation—a rarity in the modern EVF-dominated market. Its primary function is to aid in manual focusing rather than simply providing a view of the scene. This setup lets you see what’s coming into the frame and simplifies zone focusing. The rangefinder features a clear focusing distance of 2m, with a 0.73x magnification and automatic parallax compensation that adjusts the horizontal and vertical differences between the viewfinder and lens, aligning the viewfinder display with the actual image. Superimposed bright field images in the centre of the viewfinder assist in precise manual focus control, ensuring accurate framing and focus every time.

Much like the original Leica M11, this camera features a black, full-metal housing made of magnesium and aluminium, finished with a leatherette cover. The camera features the Leica M-mount bayonet fitting with an additional sensor for 6-bit encoding. It offers direct access to the battery, SD card slot, and USB-C port. The M11-D is the second Leica camera to feature Content Credentials. How does it work?
