This Leica M6 Camera Body is a reissue of the iconic rangefinder camera - keeping the original features that made the camera great but adding modern touches to make it better than ever. As well as having the high-precision internal mechanics and durable exterior of the original, this new version has an improved rangefinder, scratch-resistant finish and a new ISO dial.

The Legendary Leica M6 Revitalised
The original Leica M6, issued from 1984 to 2022, is still widely used by many world-class photographers today. In the midst of film cameras becoming increasingly popular, Leica has reissued the iconic M6 analogue camera- but with some new, modern touches. An improved rangefinder with coated glass surfaces and a battery warning allows photographers to focus faster than autofocus systems.
A new ISO dial, designed in the style of the original Leica M6, features new electronic components to make operating the camera smoother than ever. Stylish yet robust, this revised M6 has a scratch-resistant matte black finish, and sports a red Leitz logo on the front side. Leica has paid further homage to the original M6 by including a leather carrying strap with embossed Leica lettering and by packaging the camera in a box reminiscent of the original M6 box.
Durable and Reliable
This revised Leica M6 has all the reliability and quality that a world-class analogue camera should have. Internally it has the high-precision mechanics you would expect, and the mechanically controlled focal plane shutter is rubber lined. On the outside, the camera has a closed full metal housing and a solid brass top cap and bottom plate.
For those wanting to use accessories with the M6, the bottom of the camera features a stainless steel ¼” tripod thread. There is also an accessory shoe on the top of the camera. This accessory shoe can be used for flash units, as the M6 has flash synchronisation with a flash sync speed of 1/50s. The Leica M6 isn’t just physically durable but also reliable for any shoot.
