- What is Live Composite, and which cameras support it?

Live Composite is one of OM SYSTEM’s most distinctive features, especially popular for night photography, light trails, and astrophotography. It allows you to watch a long exposure build in real time, only adding new light to the frame; this means highlights don’t blow out, and you can stop the exposure exactly when it looks right.
Most modern OM SYSTEM cameras include Live Composite as standard. If you’re buying older or Used models, it’s worth double-checking individual specifications.

Weather-sealing is a key part of the OM SYSTEM design philosophy. OM-D series cameras are built to withstand challenging conditions such as rain, dust, and cold, ideal for outdoor, travel, and wildlife photography where reliability matters.
The Tough TG series goes even further, offering fully waterproof and shockproof construction. The main exception within the range is the PEN series; these models prioritise compact design and are not consistently weather-sealed. For example, the PEN E-P7 does not feature weather protection.
