While excellent for capturing stills, the Lumix S9 also excels at video capture, with many incredible features supporting high-definition video. As a hybrid camera, the S9 supports up to C4K/4K 60p/50p 4:2:2 recording with 10-bit colour depth for cinema-quality video. Colour-rich, sharp footage is easily achievable with 14+ stops of V-LOG/V-Gamut for a breathtaking dynamic range and a broad colour spectrum that rivals professional video cameras.

Active I.S. makes highly stable video recording possible by optimising horizontal, vertical, and rotational correction, which is especially beneficial when filming handheld. The S9 also incorporates perspective distortion correction and High mode in the E-Stabilisation (video function) for enhanced shooting stability while walking. Recording options include high-quality slow-motion and quick-motion video, as well as time-lapse and stop-motion, so you can capture video that suits your creative vision. With the Panasonic Lumix S9’s dedicated button for instant access to Real-Time LUT settings, you can add colour filters to your work. Adding pre-loaded LUTs lets you edit your photos and videos straight out of the camera, saving some time in post-production. No complex editing skills or specialised software are required, and you can apply up to two LUTs simultaneously for maximum creative expression. New features on the S9 include creating unique filters by layering Photo Style and LUT and extending parameter settings for improved creative control. Other notable improvements include automatic identification of Photo Style, added opacity control and grain effect and improved LUT library functionality.

Create and Share with the Lumix Lab App

Accessing the Lumix Lab App on your smartphone can further level up your Lumix S9’s capabilities with creative effects and high-speed photo and video transfers. Through the Lumix Lab App, you can create and save a LUT on your smartphone, transfer the LUT to your camera, and shoot content with your preferred colour styles, all without needing a computer. The app lets you download your favourite creators’ LUTs and preview the LUT on your image before applying them. The new MP4 Lite video format streamlines the process of transferring high-resolution Open Gate videos to your smartphone so you can quickly edit and be ready to share them on social media.

The LUMIX S 18-40mm f4.5-6.3 is the world’s smallest and lightest AF-compatible interchangeable zoom lens for full-frame L-Mount systems. This highly-portable 155g lens offers a versatile focal range between 18mm ultra-wide to 40mm standard. Ideal for landscapes, portraits, and videography, it features focus breathing suppression and a 0.15m minimum focusing distance for detailed close-ups and greater subject versatility.
