Compact enough to carry, capable enough to plan shots

The DJI Lito X1 is small enough to carry without becoming a burden, yet still shoots like a larger, professional imaging drone. In regular use, the drones that actually make it into the air to shoot are the lightest and easiest to carry day to day. With a foldable body, 249g weight, a 1/1.3-inch sensor, up to 4K/60 fps HDR video, 4K/100 fps slow motion, and 48 MP stills, the Lito X1 gives you more room to shoot seriously without making every flight feel like a chore.

A safer, steadier flight

One of the most important parts of the DJI Lito X1 is not simply its image quality, but how approachable it feels once it is in the air. Omnidirectional obstacle sensing, backed by a forward-facing LiDAR sensor, gives the drone a more balanced, confident feel when you make small corrections near trees, walls, or other structures in open outdoor spaces. It does not remove the need to fly carefully or eliminate its clear operating limits, but it does make controlling the aircraft feel less nervous and unforgiving. For newer pilots, that can be the difference between second-guessing every move and actually concentrating on framing.

Tracking and considered footage

ActiveTrack is the kind of feature that changes how a compact drone is used. Instead of splitting your attention between steering, speed, and subject placement, you can let the drone hold onto a moving person or vehicle and focus on the shape of the shot. That gives the footage a calmer, more deliberate feeling, particularly with walking shots, gentle reveals, and side-follow angles. In good lighting and under sensible conditions, it helps the DJI Lito X1 produce clips that feel planned rather than improvised, which is exactly what many people want from a small drone they can take anywhere.

Refine a shot in one take

Flight time directly affects how a drone feels to use, and the DJI Lito X1 has enough to take the pressure off. With up to 36 minutes from the standard Intelligent Flight Battery, you will have time to climb, check the scene, adjust your angle, repeat a move, and still leave yourself a comfortable margin to return. That makes a real difference when you are trying to get a single clean pass, rather than simply filming whatever you can before the battery warning appears. The 42GB of internal storage also helps here, because it lets you keep shooting without immediately thinking about card space.

Clear live view and location rhythm

The 15km transmission figure matters less as a headline number than it does for what it suggests in practice: a stable, smooth live view that helps the drone feel precise and easy to place. When the feed stays clear, small framing adjustments become more confident, and that is especially useful when you are hovering at height and building a composition slowly. Combined with the DJI Fly app support, straightforward activation, and the included RC-N3 controller, the DJI Lito X1 has a simple rhythm on location. It is quick to set up, easy to fly, and capable of producing polished HDR footage straight from a very compact body.

The UK’s drone regulations are evolving from 1 January 2026, introducing a new class-marking system (UK0-UK6) and updated operating categories based on risk, location, and proximity to people. Any drone weighing 100g or more will now require a Flyer ID, and if it has a camera, you’ll also need an Operator ID. While legacy drones remain legal, they may face stricter distance limits unless upgraded or replaced with class-marked models. Remote ID will also become mandatory for many drones, enhancing accountability by broadcasting identification and location data during flight.

For commercial operations, pilots must ensure their drones are compliant with class markings, hold the appropriate qualifications (such as the A2 CofC or Operational Authorisation for higher-risk flights), and have valid third-party insurance. As always, you must fly within visual line of sight, below 120m, and away from restricted areas. Always make sure you understand the latest rules and stay compliant before taking to the skies.
